Sylvain and Mary are fantastic hosts & run a fabulous b&B. Remote with fabulous views of Carna Bay, yet Roundwood Village is only a 10 Min Drive. Use Google Maps to find. Wonderful food. A great retreat in stunning Connemara, Highly Recommended.
Nothing, however the roads are very narrow if your not used to Irish roads drive careful and have a Good SatNav, not like mine!! Google Maps is fine.

Comfortable. Very welcoming.
It is a bit of the beaten track. No shop or pub nearby (nearest is approx 4km away). Howver, staying in a place so remote can also be a good thing!

The Rossroe Lodge B&B is located in a stunning peninsular area of Connemara, very near the bay. It offers a nice quiet area, perfect for a peaceful stay. the rooms are comfortable with spacious bathrooms, and the service provided by the friendly staff is exceptional. the breakfast menu is delicious and varied, with options for vegetarians as well. the views from the house are breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place.
Although the location is away from the main roads, it may be a bit inconvenient for those without a car to explore the surrounding attractions.

Lodge owners were super friendly and helpful. The lodge was beautifully decorated, clean, warm, and comfortable. When we arrived we were offered coffee/tea in the living room with a working fireplace. We requested to have dinner which was very gourmet, not to be missed. Also the complimentary Irish breakfast was one of the best we have had after spending several weeks in Ireland. Our room was very spacious with all the amenities and with the most comfortable bed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming B&B nestled in a picturesque area of Connemara. The hotel's value for money is excellent, as they offer affordable prices without compromising on quality. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the comfortable beds to the breathtaking views. Speaking of views, being situated in a fairly remote and scenic location adds to the charm and tranquility of this hotel. The rooms are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast, featuring organic eggs produced onsite and only the finest local ingredients, is a true delight.
All was well and exceeded my expectations.

It was a lovely warm comfortable house with lovely food and delightful friendly service it was in a stunning location
We thought we were staying in clifden and it took us a long time up narrow country roads to find it the first time even after phoning after we had found it we had no trouble again but the road is narrow and winding and follows the shore and the weather can close in

We were made to feel very welcome. At first we felt a long way from places to eat but we quickly became familiar with places to go and also had the option of dinner prepared at home! We looked forward to returning to Rossroe Lodge at the end of a day of driving and sightseeing and relaxing. We spent three nights in a lovely family home.

Amazing view and comfortable room. The hosts went above and beyond to help us with internet access and dinner recommendations. The breakfast buffet and "full Irish" breakfast were delicious. The B&B is a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it for the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay.

Mary & Sylvain were great hosts, and Sylvain prepared a lovely dinner of fresh fish perfectly cooked. Also, Mary directed us to an hour-long walk that was perfect after a day of driving. Beautiful Connemara scenery, too!
